L’azione “C.1.2 – EU ORNAT2000 Summit” prevedeva lo svolgimento in Valsugana di un evento finale di progetto costituito da una giornata dimostrativa di Trail-O con la partecipazione anche di atleti provenienti dalle regioni partner, quindi Bulgaria, la contea ungherese di Vas e la regione lituana di Marjiampole.
la cosa è poi evoluta in maniera ben più complessa, con il seminario su “Sport, inclusione, ambiente” e con l’evento dimostrativo di Trail-O che è invece diventato una “due giorni” agonistica internazionale, tappa finale della “Coppa europea” di Trail-O, in sostituzione della tappa prevista in Russia e che lì non si è potuta svolgere per le note vicende legate alla guerra.
Una due giorni quindi molto impegnativa, alla quale hanno collaborato anche i ragazzi coinvolti nel progetto di tirocinio e che ha visto sabato 1 ottobre lo svolgimento della gara a tempo (il “Temp-O”) nel campo da golf di Roncegno Terme, proprio al confine della Riserva naturale “Paludi di Roncegno” e domenica 2 ottobre la gara di precisione “Pre-O” nel magnifico scenario del passo del Brocon, proprio ai margini dell’omonima area “Natura 2000”.
Accanto alle due competizioni di orienteering di precisione anche due gare di corsa orientamento, una “Sprint” a Roncegno e una “Middle” al passo del Brocon.
Più di 80 concorrenti provenienti da 15 diversi paesi europei si sono cimentati nelle due prove di Trail-O, con le rappresentative dei partner di progetto che ben si sono comportate in entrambe le gare.
Trail-O competitions to get started at the end of ORNAT2000 project
The action “C.1.2 – EU ORNAT2000 Summit” envisaged the holding in Valsugana of a final project event consisting of a Trail-O demonstration day with the participation also of athletes from the partner regions, thus Bulgaria, the Hungarian county of Vas and the Lithuanian region of Marjiampole.
the thing then evolved in a much more complex way, with the seminar on “Sport, Inclusion, Environment” and with the Trail-O demonstration event that instead became an international competitive “two-day”, the final stage of the Trail-O “European Cup”, replacing the stage planned in Russia and that could not take place there due to the well-known war-related events.
A very challenging two days therefore, in which the young people involved in the internship project also collaborated and which saw Saturday, October 1, the holding of the timed competition (the “Temp-O”) in the golf course of Roncegno Terme, right on the border of the “Paludi di Roncegno” Nature Reserve, and Sunday, October 2, the “Pre-O” precision competition in the magnificent scenery of the Brocon Pass, right on the edge of the “Natura 2000” area of the same name.
Next to the two precision orienteering competitions also two orienteering races, a “Sprint” in Roncegno and a “Middle” at Brocon Pass.
More than 80 competitors from 15 different European countries competed in the two Trail-O events, with representatives from the project partners performing well in both races.
