Sono state quattro giornate molto impegnative quelle che dal 29 settembre al 2 ottobre hanno visto svolgersi in Valsugana una serie di attività del progetto Erasmus+ “ORNAT2000”.
Il 28 e il 29 settembre Borgo e Roncegno hanno ospitato il terzo meeting di progetto, mentre il fine settimana dell’1-2 ottobre è stato dedicato alle gare di Trail-O e corsa orientamento.
Giovedì 28 e nella mattinata di venerdì 29 settembre la Sala rossa della Comunità Valsugana e Tesino a Borgo è stata teatro del meeting tecnico con l’aggiornamento sulle varie azioni di progetto che i partner stanno realizzando nei rispettivi territori in modo da definire i dettagli delle ultime attività che dovranno essere messe in atto entro la fine del 2022, termine del progetto.
La visita al centro di Borgo Valsugana, al museo per Via di Pieve Tesino e al Museo degli strumenti musicali ha chiuso la parte riservata ai soli partner.
La serata di venerdì 30 settembre è stata dedicata al seminario pubblico “Sport, inclusion, environment” che, dopo il saluto delle autorità, ha visto la presentazione delle opportunità UE per lo sport, dei due progetti ORNAT e ORIENT e delle esperienze dei partner europei. Molto interessante l’illustrazione di cos’è e cosa fa il Comitato paralimpico trentino ed estremamente significative le due testimonianze portate rispettivamente da Marco aggravi, tecnico che opera nello sport con ragazzi con disabilità e da Melania Corradini, già olimpionica paralimpica.
Quattro appuntamenti sportivi nel fine settimana hanno poi completato le attività del “Summit finale” del progetto, iniziato con il seminario: due competizioni di Trail-O alle quali hanno preso parte anche atleti provenienti dalle tre aree partner del progetto ORNAT2000 e due competizioni di corsa orientamento. Roncegno Terme e il passo del Brocon sono stati i due palcoscenici di una gara di Trail e di una di corsa ciascuno. Le quattro gare erano previste dal programma del progetto europeo, anche se, in particolare per quanto riguarda le due competizioni di Trail-O, si pensava a due eventi promozionali, organizzati con il solo obiettivo di far conoscere questo tipo di disciplina. La guerra in Ucraina ci ha però messo lo zampino, perché la IOF -la Federazione Internazionale di Orienteering- ha chiesto all’ASD Orienteering Crea Rossa, partner di ORNAT2000, di organizzare le due gare di Trail-O come evento finale della “Coppa europea” di specialità, previsto inizialmente in Russia. L’evento sportivo ORNAT2000 si è quindi trasformato in una manifestazione che ha visto la partecipazione di decine di atleti provenienti da ben 14 Stati europei.
In Valsugana ORNAT2000 third transnational meeting
There were four very busy days that saw a series of activities of the Erasmus+ project “ORNAT2000” take place in Valsugana from September 29 to October 2.
On September 28 and 29, Borgo and Roncegno hosted the third project meeting, while the weekend of October 1-2 was dedicated to Trail-O and orienteering races.
On Thursday, September 28, and in the morning of Friday, September 29, the Red Room of the Valsugana and Tesino Community in Borgo was the scene of the technical meeting with an update on the various project actions that the partners are carrying out in their respective territories so as to define the details of the last activities that must be implemented by the end of 2022, the end of the project.
A visit to the center of Borgo Valsugana, the Museum per Via in Pieve Tesino and the Museum of Musical Instruments closed the partners-only portion.
The evening of Friday, September 30, was dedicated to the public seminar “Sport, inclusion, environment,” which, after the authorities’ greetings, featured presentations on EU opportunities for sport, the two projects ORNAT and ORIENT, and the experiences of European partners. The illustration of what the Trentino Paralympic Committee is and does was very interesting and the two testimonies brought respectively by Marco aggravi, a technician who works in sports with children with disabilities, and Melania Corradini, a former Paralympic Olympian, were extremely significant.
Four sporting events over the weekend then completed the activities of the “Final Summit” of the project, which began with the seminar: two Trail-O competitions in which athletes from the three partner areas of the ORNAT2000 project also took part, and two orienteering running competitions. Roncegno Terme and the Brocon Pass were the two stages for one Trail and one running competition each. The four competitions were scheduled in the European project program, although, particularly with regard to the two Trail-O competitions, we were thinking of two promotional events, organized with the sole objective of raising awareness of this type of discipline. However, the war in Ukraine got in the way, because the IOF -the International Orienteering Federation- asked ASD Orienteering Crea Rossa, ORNAT2000’s partner, to organize the two Trail-O competitions as the final event of the “European Cup” of the specialty, initially planned to be held in Russia. As a result, the ORNAT2000 sporting event was transformed into an event that saw the participation of dozens of athletes from as many as 14 European states.
